The Basketball Court Kitten

What started as an ordinary afternoon of shooting hoops became an extraordinary day when a tiny meow interrupted my free throws. There, between the three-point line and the basket, sat a scruffy orange tabby with wide, hopeful eyes. The court had become his unlikely refuge, his paws dusty from wandering the urban landscape.

That basketball session quickly transformed into a rescue mission. The little guy was clearly hungry and in need of care, so I scooped him up in my jersey. Now named Dunk for our fateful meeting place, this former street cat has traded asphalt for plush beds and endless cuddles. His favorite new game involves chasing crumpled paper balls across our living room floor, proving some athletic passions transcend species.
