A while ago, I brought home a shiny new colander for the kitchen. Little did I know, my cat Phoebe had other plans for it. The moment I set it down, she hopped right in, claiming it as her own. Her fascination with the colander was immediate. It was as if she had found the perfect feline-sized basket, a cozy spot to curl up and observe the world.

Phoebe’s love for the colander quickly became a daily ritual. She would nap in it, play around it, and even use it as a vantage point to keep an eye on her kingdom, also known as our kitchen. It’s amazing how cats can turn the simplest objects into their personal treasures. This little kitchen tool is now Phoebe’s favorite lounging spot, proving once again that cats have a unique way of making everything their own.
