Does Anyone Elses Cat Stick Their Tongue Out

Does Your Cat Stick Their Tongue Out?

Many cat owners have experienced the delightful moment of spotting their feline companion with a tiny tongue peeking out. This endearing behavior, often referred to as a blep, is more common than you might think. Cats may stick their tongues out when they are deeply relaxed, distracted, or simply forget to retract it after grooming or tasting something.

In most cases, a blep is completely harmless and adds to the charm of your furry friend. However, if your cat’s tongue remains out frequently or seems accompanied by other symptoms like drooling or discomfort, it’s worth consulting your veterinarian. For the vast majority of cats, though, a little tongue peek is just another quirk that makes them uniquely lovable.
