There’s something magical about a cat discovering a box for the first time. When Enzo tentatively climbed into that cardboard kingdom, his wide eyes reflected pure feline wonder. The way he carefully tested the edges with his paws, then settled in with growing confidence, was a joy to witness. My enthusiastic reaction to this milestone moment, however, made Enzo pause mid-sniff to give me a look that clearly said, “Human, why are you being so weird about this perfectly normal box situation?”

Though my camera clicks and happy exclamations momentarily distracted him, soon he was too busy enjoying his cozy cardboard castle to care about human antics.
